MVP?

I'm really getting into basketball this season. I have always loved college-level play and never really paid much attention to the NBA and its annoying crying. I always thought that professional athletes are a bunch of babies who make too much money. At the end of last season i began to feel something missing in my basketball life. I was determined to get more involved. So I am a little new to this. I hope you read the whole thing, and not just stop in the middle. :(
A good question on my mind as I listen to experts talk is who is the NBA MVP? It is very early but I like to think ahead and make predictions. Now, a lot will say LeBron James. I completely agree that LeBron is playing great. How could you not agree when South Beach is rolling over teams? The last 7 games they have crushed the teams by double digits, and LeBron is leading the league in scoring with 27 ppg. (see his stats here). He is having a great season... but who else is everyone talking about and why? Enter Jeremy Lin.
Jeremy (I believe that Jeremy Lin has reached the one name status, much like Kobe, Lebron, etc. I don't like the LINsanity, or LINtastic. those names are stupid and should be done away with) has single handedly resurrected the Knickerbockers' season. At the beginning of the season I don't think  anyone was talking much about the Knicks.  as the season went on and players got hurt, most were saying what's happening to the Knicks? When is D'Antoni getting fired? Then in one game against the Nets, Jeremy sets the sports world on fire, and Coach Mike prayed thanks for hours that he was sent an asian from on high. From that game on, every story and headline in the sport world was/is about Jeremy. Not to mention that Jeremy took Kobe Bryant and the Lakers to town. Who are now well aware of LINamania. (oops). Ok lets ask a serious question: where are the Knicks right now without Jeremy? 12-22 or worse. Now to go back, where is the Heat without Lebron? Maybe... Maybe 22-11. Still in playoffs and even dare I say finals contention.
This isn't to say that Jeremy should get the MVP over Lebron or that Jeremy is better than the "Decision Maker". I'm just saying that if Lin were to get the MVP, I would understand.

(p.s. these are two players in the east... what about the west? I feel a future blog post)

First Posting...

OK, this is my new blog. I have been inspired to create a blog by some of the thoughts that i have randomly. For example, for the past 8 months or so Mrs. M and I have been seeing movies in the theatre. I would say out of the couple movies we saw I picked extremely decent ones.

Like this piece of art....

What an exciting movie! There was love, action, and Natalie Portman. What more could some one ask for? Well, Mrs. M had us walk out with 5 minutes left to go to some silly meeting about wedding pictures, Lame.

Another great selection by yours truly.....

How could you go wrong with an action filled movie?! We had such a great time snuggling and loving on each other. I can say it was one of our better movie experiences.

How about this suspenseful beauty.....

Going in I wasn't sure if there was much to this movie, but Riding Hood was cute, and Mrs. M likes the actress too, so we went. It turned out to be a half decent movie.  These of course are only a few of the movies we saw together last year. What a great selection!
You would think that after an amazing movie season in 2011 Mrs. M would want to start our movie viewing off right in 2012, but no. We had to go to the Vow.....

Can I just say terrible idea. Worst movie I have ever seen. It just goes to show that you could have the world's best actors in a film, but if they continuously spew crap form their mouths, then you will be watching actors ..... spew crap from their mouths, plain and simple. I guess this means we can only go up.

Don't worry next time I will pick the movie...
